Martin Leon has over 30 years of experience with a focus encompassing land brokerage, retail investment sales and national retailer representation. His current active client roster includes representing Wendy’s, Smart & Final and Stardust Building Supplies.
Leon’s strategic planning, market knowledge and well-honed negotiating skill ensures that his clients get the maximum value for their transaction. His expertise also spans a number of niche industries including automotive and grocery.
Prior to joining GPS Commercial Advisors, Leon spent over 11 years with DeRito Partners, where he was one of the top producers with the firm. Additionally, his background includes serving as the Real Estate Manager for 99 Cent Only Stores, where he was responsible for new site acquisitions in Arizona, Nevada and the San Francisco Bay Area. He also served as the Senior Real Estate Manager, Surplus Property for Albertson’s, where he was responsible for developing exit strategies of the non-performing assets. He was also part of the Surplus Team that disposed $1 Billion in company assets in 2002.
In 2012 Martin was part of the team that received NAIOP’s “Transaction of the Year” award. He has been a member of ICSC since 1990.
Leon has represented tenants, buyers, sellers for new locations for the disposition and sale of properties for numerous firms including: Jaren Corporation, K-Mart Stores, J.C. Penney’s, Marshall’s, CSK Auto (Now O’Reilly’s), Weingarten Realty Partners, Regency Centers, Earnhardt Auto Group, Phoenix Motors (Mercedes), Van Tuyl Auto Group, Mark Kia Mitsubishi, McLaren, Porshe, Truck Masters, Subaru, Safeway Stores, Petsmart, Wells Fargo Bank, Kimco, Whole Foods, Home Depot, Grocery Outlet Pederson Group, Penske Auto Group, Chapman Auto, Smart & Final and Auto Nation.
